Workshop on Biomechanical Technologies Applied to research and engineering at the BIOMEC Lab group of UPC
Jun 27, 2024
The BIOMEC group of the Mechanical Engineering Departement (DEM) has recently organized a free and complete workshop on Biomechanical Technologies applied to research and engineering. The event included a session in which the BIOMEC group presented their lines of research on biomechanics and rehabilitation engineering applied to pathology monitoring, rehabilitation, and simulation. Sponsors of the event including Movella and Delsys with the collaboration of Biomech Solutions presented their cutting-edge technologies and their applications in biomechanics. The event was a great success, demonstrated by the numerous participants including professionals from hospitals, doctoral students, research centers, and companies. They could attend to the presentation of practical cases and see first-hand the challenges and innovations of the sector.
The interaction between these different stakeholders in the field of biomechanics and rehabilitation is crucial to advance the development of biomechanical technologies that can have a real impact on society.
A summary of the key moments of the event can be found in this video.
The event took place at the Research Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CREB) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) located in the School of Industrial Engineering of Barcelona (ETSEIB) of UPC.
