3D printing of an antiviral biscuit for pigs

Professors Amelia Nápoles Alberro, Enrique Zayas Figueras and Xavier Salueña, accompanied by the student Helena Tarrats Somalo, define a collaborative project with the Institute for Agro-Food Research and Technology (IRTA: CReSA building, located in Bellaterra, Barcelona) to apply printing 3D to the food and animal health fields. The first meeting was held at the EPSEVG, and the requirements of the food product to be printed were established. The second meeting was held at the IRTA facilities, and the manufacturing conditions for the biscuits containing the antiviral were specified, and it was agreed to carry out some tests using the extruder built at EPSEVG.
