We bring mechanical engineering closer to primary school students

Professor Rosa Pàmies, as a AquíSTEM UPC member, has conducted workshops for 2nd and 5th grade students at Escola Montserrat in Cornellà de Llobregat.

5th grade students had the opportunity to visit the biomechanics laboratory at ETSEIB and use technical equipment to understand some of the research done by the Biomec group. In addition, Professor Pàmies also conducted a STEAM workshop at Escola Montserrat, where 2nd and 5th grade students were able to manipulate human hand models prepared by department technician Jordi Cervantes, among other activities.

We hope that this experience will inspire new scientific and technological vocations among the youngest. You can see more photos of the experience on the school's website.
